Estimating macropore parameters for <scp>HYDRUS</scp> using a meta?model

The vertical change in the number of macropores causes a variation relative macroporosity (wf) and effective aggregate width (dag) over soil profile. Both parameters are used HYDRUS to represent this variation, increasing making automated calibration challenging. working hypothesis is that we can improve an analytical estimation wf dag developed previous research by inverse with meta-model for 2D/3D, using disk infiltrometer data infiltration at zero pressure head. We generate describes heterogeneity macropore general function four parameters: surface (wfs), radius (rm), maximum depth (zmax) shape parameter curve (m). computes depth, thus reducing HYDRUS. theoretically described how directly obtain data, providing example field conditions.
